After the 2005-06 season, both Kaitlyn and Andrew found themselves without partners.
After a successful tryout, Kaitlyn moved from Texas to Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario in August 2006 to skate with Andrew Poje under coach Paul McIntosh.
Weaver & Poje had a stellar debut in their inaugural season, winning the bronze medal at the 2007 Canadian National Championships at the senior level and the World Junior Championships, and qualifying for the senior Worlds team where they finished 20th.
In January 2008, they relocated to Toronto to train under Shae-Lynn Bourne, the 2003 World Champion. The following year, they shifted their training base to the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to receive additional coaching from Pasquale Camerlengo and Anjelika Krylova where they continue to train today.
